Meet Our Preschool Teachers!
Lindsay Therian is our Preschool Director. She has a Master's Degree in Elementary Education and additional coursework in Early Childhood Education. She has 13 years of experience working with young children. She is passionate about social-emotional learning and is always looking for new ways to support children with conflict resolution and self-regulation. Her favorite activities to do with children are large group Music and Movement activities that get kids up and moving. In her spare time, she enjoys cleaning and organizing, spending time with her family, and relaxing at the beach.
Danielle Gaby is our head preschool teacher in the Full Day Pre-Kindergarten classroom. She has her Bachelor's Degree in Sociology and her Associate's in Early Childhood Education. She has been teaching preschool for 16 years. She is passionate about STEM education. She loves facilitating experiments and watching children learn about cause and effect relationships. In her spare time, she enjoys hiking and traveling with her family.
Amanda Smith is our head preschool teacher in the Full Day Pre-School classroom. She has her Associate's Degree in Early Childhood Education and is currently working towards her Bachelor’s degree. Amanda has been working at CASTLE a little over 6 years, starting in our school-age program. She believes children learn best through open-ended experiments and activities. She loves doing experiments, creative arts, and music & movement. When she is not at CASTLE, you can find her teaching dance to children aged 2-6 years old.
Kristina Swain is one of our head preschool teachers in the School Day classroom. She has a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology and is a member of the School Readiness Council. She has 24 years of experience teaching young children. Kristina is always interested in helping her students learn early literacy and numeracy skills. She likes to find fun ways to introduce letters and pre-writing skills in the classroom. Her favorite activities to do with children are cooking, art, and sensory play, where the kids can get both creative and messy! In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her family, shopping and traveling.
Jennifer Lombardo is one of our head preschool teachers in the School Day classroom. She has an Associate's Degree in Early Childhood Education and will be receiving her Bachelor's Degree soon. She has been working in Early Childhood Education for 19 years. She has a strong belief in learning through hands on exploration and enjoys thinking out of the box when it comes to curriculum. Jennifer is involved in many of the town's sports clubs, and spends her spare time at the court or on the field depending on the season.
Sheila Fitzsimmons is our Assistant Preschool Teacher in the Full Day Pre-Kindergarten classroom. She has a Bachelor's Degree in Social Work and additional Early Childhood credits. She has been with CASTLE for 4 years. She loves to get kids up and moving by dancing together. She also loves to help kids practice cooperative skills through games. In her spare time, she enjoys crafting, scrap booking and playing tennis.
